Control mission of the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development /IBRD/ has highly rated readiness of the Republic of Karelia for realization of the Education System Informatization project. The Minister of Education of Karelia Galina Razbivnaya has told about it today in her interview to the ITAR-TASS correspondent making comments on results of work of the group of experts of IBRD who had been rating readiness of the region for realization of the project for three days.
"Karelia became one of the seven regions of Russia participating in the large federal project on the education system informatzatiion that will be implemented in the country at the support of the over $100 million loan of the IBRD for three and a half years," - she has emphasized.
As she said, the big system project that will be officially launched in autumn will allow to improve the education system as a whole, and qualification of the staff. The project provides that in each municipality a large uniform well equipped by the staff and computerized school methodical center will be created. These centers approached as much as possible to schools and teachers will help to use new information technologies in education effectively. Karelia represents Northwest district in this project. From other districts Stavropol, Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk Territories, Chelyabinsk, Perm and Kaluga regions participate.
