To reveal perspective growing points in each region, inspire small and medium-sized business, render all possible organizational and legal support to self-starters, to involve financial structures and development institutions in advancement of perspective projects is, on the words of Rashid Nurgaliyev, the main task of the group.

Head of Karelia has thanked the working group for personal involvement in problems faced by our republic. "We have to do our best to preserve the towns' primary taxpayers and render growth opportunities to small and medium-sized business that in due course will reduce problems of single-industry towns," – Alexander Khudilainen said.

According to Head of the republic, within the week of work in cooperation with representatives of federal ministries and large financial organizations there had been developed a number of proposals to be implemented now. However, the fact of the arrival of the working group in Karelia itself has impelled many primary taxpayers to proceed to solution of problems of long standing.

– Even the preparation for the visit of the working group has prompted many enterprises and organizations to solve problems faced by our single-industry towns. There have been issued specific instructions setting things in motion, – Head of the republic has added.

According to Head of Karelia, the entire year 2014 will be featured for the republic for active cooperation with federal authorities within the scope of activities of the State Commission for preparation for the 100th anniversary of the republic. This work may result in a special federal program on development of Karelia, although its elaboration and adoption are not possible without the initiative and active stand of citizens of all towns and regions.
