Vladimir Putin Left for Solovetstky Archipelago

PETROZAVODSK, August 20 /The ITAR-TASS corr. Vladimir Zlobin/. President RF Vladimir Putin, who spends his vacation in the Republic of Karelia, went by helicopter to Solovetsky archipelago from Petrozavodsk in the morning. He is going to get familiar with the monuments of ancient northern architecture. Last week the President visited Valaam and Kizhi islands.

Vladimir Putin Listened to Organ Music in Kondopoga

PETROZAVODSK, August 18 /The ITAR-TASS corr. Vladimir Zlobin/. The town of Kondopoga is situated within 50km distance from the capital of the republic. The President of Russia Vladimir Putin visited the town, accompanied by the the Head of the Government of the Republic of Karelia Sergey Katanandov. Putin spends his vacation in the Republic of Karelia.

President has visited the House of culture of pulp and paper mill JSC "Kondopoga", producing more than one third of all newspaper made in Russia and being the most profitable enterprise in the republic. The House of culture is the most modern one in the North-West of Russia and has one of the best organs in Europe. Specially for Vladimir Putin the Bach work has been performed.

The President discussed the problems of forest industrial complex with the General director of the mill Vitaly Federmesser. They also talked of the situation in the pulp and paper industry in general and of Kondopoga mill in particular.

Vladimir Putin has visited the construction site of an Ice Palalce in Kondopoga, too.

Sergey Katanandov informed that most of the time the President had spent today in his residence "Shuiskaya Chupa", where he got aquainted with work and rest conditions. He has made a long scooter ride on the Ukshesero lake.
