The 2009 calendar in three Karelian language dialects

Publishing coloured calendars in Karelian and Vepsian languages has become a good thradition in the republic.

On the eve of 2009 calendar in three Karelian language dialects - Livvik, Karelian proper, and Liudik - was released. It is devoted to recipes of traditional Karelian cuisine. Photos of simple yet delicious traditional dishes of Karelian people is a true decoration of the new edition.

This calendar is an illustration and a result of partner cooperation between the Ministry of the Republic of Karelia on National Politics and Relations with Religious Associations, The Union of Karelian people Karelian regional public organization, Nuori Karjala (The Young Karelia) Karelian Youth Public organization, Periodica publishing house.

Publishing a calendar in Karelian was initiated by youth. An embodiment of fruitful idea during a life - a good sign on the threshold of the New Year 2009 announced in the Russian Federation the Year of Youth.
