Ñeremony of awarding winners of The Best Exporter of 2008 competition was held on June 30 in Moscow, in the Cultural Center of the Main Administration for Service to the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Among 56 winners, the award was presented to Segezha Pulp-and-Paper Plant, Inc., (Investlesprom group ) as to the best exporter of the branch (pulp and paper industry).
Let us remind, that within its competence on the state support of industrial exports, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has summed up the competition results in the end of May. Competition was held on 17 basic industries on the following nominations: the best Russian the exporter of the branch; the best Russian the exporter of the branch to the CIS countries; the most dynamically developing Russian exporter of the branch. Applications were considered by the Department of Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation on the basis of evaluation of presented documents and design procedure based on parameters of consolidated export reports of organizations.
Awards were presented by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Andrey Dementyev, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and Bank for Foreign Economic Activity. In particular, he has emphasized that in view of the situation developed in financial and economic sector, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia renders " both moral, and material support to high-tech export." The Deputy Minister has also declared, that "the foothold on the market which the enterprises have managed to gain despite of the crisis is a parameter of their capacity and viability, and it is a hope for the future of Russia."
Representatives of Segezha Pulp-and-Paper Plant have received their award from Mikhail Sinelin, chairman of board of the Bank for Foreign Economic Activity.
